RULES & REGULATIONS - Laird Regional Park

It is unlawful and constitutes an infraction/misdemeanor for any person to violate or fail to comply with any of the following provisions in any recreation area (Stanislaus County Code, Title 18, Parks and Recreation)

  • Prohibited at the facility

    • Firearms, fireworks, slingshots, BB guns, bows and arrows, missile-launching devises, paint ball weapons, bounce houses, waterslides or trampolines, refuse collecting, and collecting cans and bottles for recycling.

    • Attaching, removing, injuring or causing damage to any plants, trees, shrubs, lawn, flowers, or rocks (no tree swings)

    • Engagement in physical violence or any unlawful actions, which violates County, State, or Federal laws.

  • Park Patrons Must

    • Comply with all signs posted by the Department.

    • Comply with lawful instructions of a Park staff/officer.

  • Motor Vehicles in the Park

    • All sections of California Vehicle Code will be enforced (SCC, 18.20.010).

    • All vehicles must stay on designated roads and parking areas.

    • Major vehicle repairs are prohibited in the park.

  • Camping

    • No camping is allowed at Laird Regional Park

  • Pets

    • Pets must be kept under control and on a leash at all times while in the park (6 feet if walking, 10 feet if staked). Owners must possess proof of current rabies vaccination (SCC, 18.08.050).

    • All owners or handlers shall be responsible to retrieve and properly dispose of fecal material in a sanitary manner

    • Horses are permitted in area A though FF only

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your Picnic Shelter Reservation, you must log into your reservation account to process the cancellation 24 prior to the day of the reservation. A $10 cancellation fee will be assessed per reservation, and deducted from your refund amount.  Cancellations can be made online. This service is available 7 days a week, 24/7.

Last Minute Cancellation: If you need to cancel your reservation less than 24 hours before your reservation date you must call us at (209)525-6750 and complete a Refund Request Form. Refund is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of park management.

Change Policy:  If you need to change your reservation date or location, you must log in to your reservation account and process the change before 4pm the day before your begin date. A $10 fee will be assessed for any requested change, and the EAR process will have to be completed again for the new date and/or location.

​

Emergency Closures: If Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation closes the park due to an emergency or disaster, we will make every effort to notify you. In these cases, all fees will be refunded as soon as possible.

​

In cases of inclement weather, cancellations will follow the above policies as long as the park remains open.
